France call up South Africa-born Rory Kockott

France head coach Philippe Saint-André has South Africa-born Rory Kockott in his squad for the November internationals.

Props Uini Atonio and Xavier Chiocci, back-row Charles Ollivon and wing Teddy Thomas are the new players joining Kockott in the Les Bleus mix.

Kockott is one of just two scrum-halves in the group, joining Sébastien Tillous-Borde while Camille Lopez, Remi Tales and François Trinh-Duc are the 10 options available to Saint-André.

England international Steffon Armitage was not named in the squad. He had been on Saint-Andre's list of ten foreign-born players who were being considered for selection.

But the IRB confimed earlier this week that they were tightening the rules on players representing a second country - Armitage has previously played for England.

Saint-André has dispensed with the services of loosehead Thomas Domingo and back-row forwards Antonie Claassen and Fulgence Ouedraogo while Maxime Machenaud, Dimitri Szarzewski and Morgan Parra also miss out.

Toulon boast seven representatives in the squad while Toulouse and Clermont have four apiece.
