Harlequins fly-half Tim Swiel has signed a new contract with the Aviva Premiership club.
The 23-year-old initially moved to south-west London on loan from South African Super Rugby side the Sharks in 2014, making 10 appearances in his four-month spell with Quins before returning to his parent club.
He then returned to Harlequins on a full-time contract in 2015 and has gone on to make 25 appearances, scoring 131 points.
"I am delighted to be extending my time with Harlequins," said Swiel. "I have felt so at home here; the supporters are amazing and I know that Harlequins is the best place for me to be in terms of my continued development.
"I'm also excited by the arrival of Demetri Catrakilis next season. We know each other well from our time in South Africa and the competition will only make us better players."
Quins director of rugby John Kingston added: "Tim has really kicked on at the start of this season and has taken the opportunities presented with both hands.
"He has displayed a strong desire to be part of the group with his recent performances and I'm really pleased that I have managed to significantly extend his time at Harlequins."
