New Quins hooker to miss the start of the season
Dave Ward will have to wait to make his debut for Harlequins after he was handed a six-week ban.
Ward, who joins the Aviva Premiership champions in the summer, was handed the punishment by an RFU Disciplinary Panel for an incident in the Championship between Cornish Pirates and London Welsh.
The former Bath, Northampton and Sale hooker was found guilty of kicking, contrary to Law 10(4)(c), and suspended and ordered to pay £250 costs.
Ward will now not be eligible to play until September 20.
