Prop Biyi Alo has signed a permanent deal with Worcester after originally joining the club as injury cover.

Alo, 22, joined the club from Saracens last summer as an "injury dispensation" signing to replace Gareth Milasinovich, who was unable to play because of a serious Achilles problem.

The former England U20 international made his first Aviva Premiership start on New Year's Day in the win over Harlequins and has done plenty to impress Warriors coach Carl Hogg.

Hogg said: "Biyi arrived at Sixways as cover but quickly established himself within the squad.

"He has taken his opportunities within the European Challenge Cup and Anglo-Welsh Cup and that in turn has seen him rewarded with Premiership selection which is a testament to the work ethic that Biyi has shown.

"He is a fine scrummager and gives us front-foot ball with his big, powerful frame and we're looking forward to seeing more of him on the field in the near future."

Alo added: "I've quickly warmed to life at Worcester where I've got everything I need to progress as a player.
