Worcester's Bryce Heem has been given a two-week ban after pleading guilty to a Rugby Football Union disciplinary charge relating to his red card in Sunday's 40-33 defeat by Wasps.

The New Zealand-born winger was sent off early in the second half of the Aviva Premiership encounter at the Ricoh Arena for tackling Wasps' Willie Le Roux in the air.

Heem was called to a disciplinary hearing in Bristol on Monday night and, having pleaded guilty, will be free to play again on Tuesday, April 18.

The RFU disciplinary panel said: "The panel deemed that the actions of Heem were reckless and in part affected by the running line of Wasps' number 13.

"Notwithstanding this, the player accepted his actions merited the award of a red card and the panel, having heard direct evidence from Wasps' Willie Le Roux, found this was a low-end entry point."
