Leeds centre signs two-year contract
Highly-rated centre James Tincknell has been rewarded for his impressive start to life at Leeds Carnegie with a new two-year deal.
The 22-year-old England Counties player only initially arrived at Headingley on a six-month deal from Wharfedale in the summer.
However Tincknell, who only took rugby union seriously two seasons ago after turning his back on a promising cricket career, has now earned a longer-term deal.
Tincknell told the club's official site: "It has been unbelievable how things have worked out for me since I came to Leeds.
"I got my head down in pre-season and worked hard and thankfully the coaching staff have rewarded me for that and I have got some game time.
"I have really enjoyed playing as part of the team and I think my confidence has grown with every game. I am constantly learning whether that is at training or in games and I know I still have a lot to learn."
