Gloucester winger signs long-term contract
Gloucester winger James Simpson-Daniel has revealed he has agreed a new long-term deal to stay at Kingsholm.
The 28-year-old has spent the past 10 years as a key figure in the Gloucester backline, marking his debut in 2001 with a superb individual try.
Despite a number of impressive displays domestically, Simpson-Daniel has managed just 10 caps for England - with untimely injuries and illness hampering his international ambitions.
However, the former Guinness Premiership Player of the Season remains a firm favourite at Gloucester and has now been handed a new three-year contract.
The man known as 'Sinbad' wrote on
Twitter: "Really thrilled to have just signed a new contract with Gloucester. Look forward to a great three years ahead."
Simpson-Daniel is currently joint-seventh on the Premiership's all-time try-scoring lists alongside Ben Cohen, Josh Lewsey and Geordan Murphy, having crossed 56 times.
In total, Simpson-Daniel has scored 108 tries in 232 appearances - and has had a hand in many more.
