Talented No.9 in talks with London Welsh
Scrum-half Nick Runciman is close to agreeing a return to former club London Welsh.
Runciman is currently a free agent after he was released by Gloucester at the end of the season.
However Runciman is now in talks with the Exiles, with the 26-year-old having made 65 appearances for the club before moving to Kingsholm in 2011.
Welsh coach Lyn Jones is keen to bolster his scrum-half options, particularly given Rob Lewis' departure to Cardiff Blues.
Former England Under-18s international Matt Keyte has made the switch from the Bath, while Sam Egerton joined the club from Oxford University back in December.
Runciman, who also had a stint at Worcester, would give the Exiles crucial Premiership experience, though, ahead of their top-flight debut.
