Hooker to remain with the Exiles for the next two seasons
London Irish hooker James Buckland has extended his stay at the club after agreeing a new two-year deal.
The 29-year-old, who has also played for Leicester and Wasps, has made 33 appearances for the Exiles since joining in 2008.
And Buckland, who played in the 2997 Heineken Cup final, is delighted to be remaining at Irish until the end of the 2011-12 season.
Buckland said: "I'm pleased to have extended my contract with London Irish. We've made real progress as a squad. There is much more to come and I'm looking forward to being part of it."
London Irish head coach Toby Booth has been impressed with Buckland's contribution at the club over the past two seasons, saying: "James is an experienced, England qualified, Premiership campaigner who has played consistently well for us and is a real asset to the squad. We are pleased that he has committed his future to us."
