Flanker thrilled to have signed new deal
London Irish have been buoyed by news that Richard Thorpe has agreed a two-year contract to remain at the club.
The back-row has gone on to make 110 appearances for the Exiles since progressing through the academy set-up.
And the former England Under-21s international is delighted to have signed the new deal.
Thorpe said: "I have thoroughly enjoyed life at London Irish and it is a pleasure to come to work every day.
"The club has been fantastic to me over the last decade and I am now looking forward to another enjoyable two years ahead."
Irish coach Toby Booth has hailed the impact Thorpe has had on the club.
"Richard is a highly committed London Irish player who gives his all for the shirt whenever he wears it. I have coached Richard since he first started at the club and the one thing I can never fault is his effort and commitment.
"We are building a squad at Sunbury who will challenge for silverware next season and Richard will play a big part in this."
