Exiles legend promoted to senior coaching staff
London Irish have appointed former Ireland full-back Justin Bishop as their new defence coach.
Bishop made 279 appearances for the Exiles before beginning his coaching career at Doncaster Knights.
Bishop returned to Irish in 2009 to work as the academy's assistant manager, alongside Neal Hatley.
And Irish head coach Toby Booth is looking forward to working with Bishop as part of the senior squad.
"I have known and worked with Justin for a long time and he is a great asset to our coaching set up," he said.
"He has always played an important role in organising our defence so he is more than ready to take on this role with the senior squad in a full-time capacity.
"He always shows a great deal of passion which will only put us in a positive position and drive us to success over the coming seasons."
