Former rugby league ace impresses Smith
London Irish have confirmed they have offered a trial to former Bradford Bulls loose forward Michael Worrincy.
As well as spending two seasons at the Bulls, the 25-year-old also had spells with London Skolars and Harlequins before a short stint in Australia training with the Penrith Panthers.
Worrincy returned to England in January to play for Leigh Centurions; however he has now been given the chance to cross codes with the Exiles.
And London Irish director of rugby Brian Smith has been impressed with what he has seen from Worrincy, who scored 22 tries in 89 Super League appearances.
Smith said: "Michael is a great athlete with explosive power in contact. His work ethic has been superb and he has settled in to life at Sunbury very well."
