New recruit bolsters options after Robinson's retirement
Wasps have signed scrum-half Nic Berry from Racing Metro on a two-year deal.
The former Australia Under-21 international will replace Mark Robinson, who recently announced his retirement due to a degenerative knee injury.
Berry is no stranger to the Guinness Premiership club having played against them twice this season in the Amlin Challenge Cup.
"We are delighted to sign Nic - a player who has such a wealth of experience and talent to his name at just 26," said director of rugby Tony Hanks.
"He adds depth to our scrum-half options and I am sure he will be a very valuable asset to the Wasps squad going forward."
As well as former New Zealand international Robinson being sidelined, Wasps also had to do without first-choice number nine Joe Simpson during the current season.
Wasps director Lawrence Dallaglio said: "Half-back is key for us. When Joe Simpson got injured we struggled for a little bit and had he stayed fit we would almost certainly be in the play-offs at this stage."
