Owner in talks with four 'interested parties'
Wasps are close to finalising the sale of the Aviva Premiership club after revealing that talks are at an "advanced stage" with four interested parties.
Owner Steve Hayes announced in October that he was putting the club up for sale after Wycombe District Council withdrew its support for the development of a new stadium.
Wasps said in a statement on Friday that a "large number of parties had expressed interest" but that discussions were now focused on the "final four".
The statement added: "No preferred party has yet been selected but the club is confident that the process is now nearing conclusion."
Hayes, who also owns Wycombe Wanderers, reiterated a key factor in the final decision will be the "plans for and ability to offer the club a sustainable and successful future".
