Racing 92 wing Marc Andreu will miss the European Champions Cup semi-final against Leicester after being suspended for eight weeks.

The French Rugby League announced Andreu's suspension on Wednesday as punishment for him stepping on Toulon flanker Virgile Bruni's face last month.

The ruling means the 30-year-old France international will miss Racing's clash against the Tigers at Welford Road on April 24.

In fact, he won't be available again this season for the Parisians unless they reach the latter stages of the French Top 14 play-offs.

Andreu admitted guilt for the incident on Bruni during the Top 14 clash between Racing and Toulon on March 26.
Bruni required surgery on his eye after the incident.
