Northampton have confirmed promising back row Jamie Gibson will join the club from Leicester for the 2014/2015 season.
Having impressed during his progression through the junior international ranks, Gibson made the full England side in 2012 for the non-cap clash with Barbarians and subsequently left London Irish for Leicester in 2013.
With 42 appearances for the Tigers to date, he has now agreed to switch to Franklin's Gardens to join the likes of England stars Tom Wood, Calum Clark and Phil Dowson in competing for back row places.
Saints director of rugby Jim Mallinder said: "Jamie has shown repeatedly at London Irish, Leicester and in England representative teams that he is a player with a big future, and we're delighted that he has put pen to paper to join the Saints.
"Back row is an important part of the team, and while we have some outstanding talent in that area we are confident that Jamie can supplement the players that we already have.
"However even though he has played a lot of games he is still relatively early in his career, and we believe that he has the potential to improve even further."
