Bath have confirmed back-row forward Leroy Houston has returned on a short-term deal until the end of October from Queensland Reds.

The west country club have started the Aviva Premiership season well with victories in their opening two games, including a 58-5 win over Newcastle Falcons on Saturday, but are currently without back-row pair Taulupe
Faletau and David Denton, who both face lengthy injury lay-offs.

Faletau could be out for up to eight weeks following a scan on his left knee which revealed medial ligament damage sustained in Bath's opening win against Northampton.

Houston left Bath earlier this year to move to Australian side Queensland but has been released to come back to Bath, who he joined in 2013, for a temporary spell at the Recreation Ground after the Super Rugby season came to a close.

Bath rugby director Todd Blackadder said: "We're very excited for Leroy to be coming back to the club for a couple of months to give us some cover while we have a few injuries, and we are really thankful to Queensland for helping make this happen.
