Popular winger linked to a move to Treviso
Popular Bath winger Joe Maddock has confirmed he will be leaving The Rec after the play-offs - with Italy his expected destination.
The 31-year-old New Zealand has yet to confirm where he will be playing next season, although he has been long linked with a move to Magners League new boys Treviso.
Maddock, who capped his final appearance at The Rec with a try against Leeds, has been a key figure in the Bath side since joining from the Crusaders seven years ago.
And although Maddock, who has scored 233 points in 129 matches, has opted to remain quiet about his future plans, he did drop a hint to the possible location.
He told the
Bath Chronicle: "I will be leaving Bath at the end of the season.
"I can't say for where at the moment. It could be 'arrivederci ' or it could be 'See you later, mate'.
"This decision to move on was never just about me. I've got a wife and daughter to think about and it really was a family decision.
"We decided that our time in Bath had come to an end and it was time to push on to something else."
Maddock will now be hoping he can sign off on a winning note, although Bath must travel to old foes Leicester in the play-off semi-finals.
