Duo injured in defeat to the Chiefs
The Blues have been left counting the cost of their 29-14 defeat to the Chiefs after Rudi Wulf and Jerome Kaino were ruled out of the tour to South Africa.
Wulf is facing up to a month on the sidelines after with grade two AC joint injury, while Kaino has also damaged his shoulder.
There is a chance Kaino could return in time for the clash against the Stormers, with his progress set to be monitored closely.
Peter Saili will provide cover in the back row, although the Blues has left a space open in their squad should Kaino recover.
Blues coach Pat Lam said: "It's a big blow but that's just the nature of the game.
"Obviously our game was disappointing, particularly in the first half and it's a blow for us to lose Wulf and Kaino but every team is going to have to deal with injuries and we're no different.
"We've just got to trust the squad, get over there, re-group and bounce back. We know a lot of people are disappointed but we're the ones to sort this out."
