American-born lock signs new two-year deal
American-born lock Mthunzi Mabeta has agreed a new two-year deal with the Bulls.
Mabeta, who has been capped at age-group level for South Africa, made his Super 14 debut for the province against the Brumbies this year.
And although he is behind Victor Matfield, Bakkies Botha and Danie Rossouw in the pecking order for a place in the starting XV, the 23-year-old will provide cover for the squad.
And Mabeta, who is known as Fudge, believes playing and training alongside the host of internationals at the Bulls will only help his development.
He told the Bulls official site: "I am learning from the best in the world and I believe I can reach that same level if I train and learn from then every day.
"I blossom in the environment and structures at the Bulls and I am very happy that this will continue."
