Tonga international expected to join Top14 club
Perpignan are expected to complete the signing of Chiefs' try-scoring prop Sona Taumalolo for next season.
The outfit have yet to confirm the deal, but it is believed that Taumalolo has agreed to join Tonga international team-mate Kisi Pulu in the USAP front row.
The 30-year-old, who has scored seven Super Rugby tries this season, has been recruited as a replacement for ageing English stalwart Perry Freshwater.
The Chiefs are of the understanding Taumalolo has signed a 'letter of intent' with an unnamed club, believed to be the French Top14 side.
"Our understanding is that Sona signed a letter of intent after the World Cup with a club," Chiefs chief executive Gary Dawson told the
New Zealand Herald.
