Hurricanes back agrees two-year deal to move to Japan
Hurricanes back Tamati Ellison has ruled himself out of the 2011 Rugby World Cup after agreeing to move to Japan's Ricoh Black Rams.
Ellison had been tipped to be part of the All Blacks squad for the tournament after earning his first cap on the 2009 tour to Europe.
However the 26-year-old will now not be considered for selection after he agreed a two-year deal with the Japanese side.
Ellison will team up with former Hurricanes team-mate Roy Kinikinilau at the club in June - with World Cup winner Stephen Larkham also plying his trade at the Black Rams.
