Wycliff Palu has turned down the chance to move to Japan in order to commit to the Waratahs and the ARU for a further season.
The 29-year-old back-rower, who has been capped 38 times, had offers to join the ever-growing foreign legion in Japan however Palu feels he has 'unfinished business' with club and country.
He said: "When I considered my options, about whether to keep going here or to go overseas, I kept coming back to wanting more. More of the Wallabies, more of the Waratahs. I feel that I have more to offer, and more good times to be a part of."
Palu's decision to recommit to the cause means he will be available for next year's series against the British and Irish Lions.
And Palu, who made his first appearance for the Waratahs in 2003, is hoping to take part in the matches against the famous touring team.
"It's a once in a career experience if you are lucky enough to play the Lions. I didn't want to be sitting there watching the tour go on from a distance, regretting having given up the opportunity to be a part of it," he added.
