Springbok not offered a contract for 2012
The Sharks have confirmed veteran South Africa centre Adi Jacobs has left the club.
Jacobs made 88 Super Rugby appearances for the Durban-based franchise, with a further 71 games coming in the Currie Cup.
The 31-year-old, though, endured a difficult season and missed out on selection for South Africa's World Cup squad.
And Jacobs, who scored 36 tries for the Sharks, has now been told he will not be offered a contract for next season.
"The Sharks bid centre Adrian "Adi" Jacobs a fond farewell and wish him everything of the best in his career as he embarks on a new adventure after eight years of proud service with The Sharks," read a statement on the club's official site.
