US Eagles lock commits to Saracens
Hayden Smith has joined fellow international Chris Wyles and rising star Jackson Wray in signing a new deal at Saracens.
Smith, who has been capped by the US Eagles, has played a key role in helping Sarries to back-to-back Premiership finals.
And the 26-year-old lock, who initially joined the club in 2008 on an academy deal, is delighted to be staying at Vicarage Road.
Smith said: "I am very happy to have signed a new contract with the club, and the words of former New York Yankees manager Joe Torre spring to mind. 'It's like winning an Academy Award,' he said. 'They can't ever take it away from you. You've done something to warrant being something special'."
Smith is the latest player to commit to Saracens - with Wyles and Wray also signing, while the club are set to announce a further seven new contracts on Tuesday.
