Lewaravu signs two-year deal with the Sharks

Sale have continued their rebuilding ahead of next season with the signing of Fijian international Wame Lewaravu on a two-year deal. The 6ft 5in lock has previously played for London Welsh and was a member of the Fiji squad that reached the quarter-finals of the 2007 World Cup. Lewaravu is seen as the ideal replacement for Dean Schofield, who has moved to Toulon, with Sharks coach Mike Brewer thrilled to have sealed the transfer. Brewer said: "I worked with Wame during the 2009 autumn internationals and I am delighted he has decided to join us at Sale Sharks. "He is a great athlete, good in the line out, loves to run with the ball and makes plenty of metres with his penetrating runs. "I am sure he will be a valuable addition to our squad for the new season."
