Sale have confirmed that prop Martin Halsall has agreed a deal to move to Championship outfit Nottingham.
The 25-year-old was a member of the side that won the Premiership final in 2006 but has found chances limited in recent seasons.
The former England Under-21 international, who has spent time at Sedgley Park and Wharfedale on loan, will now team up with former Sharks Alex Shaw and Ian Kench at Meadow Lane.
Sharks chief executive Mick Hogan said: "We thank Martin for his services to Sale Sharks, and wish him all the best at Nottingham, where he will be able to have more game time."
