Michael Hooper citing hearing put back 24 hours

Wallabies flanker Michael Hooper has had his judicial hearing over a striking charge adjourned.

Hooper faced the hearing on Wednesday, when he contested the allegation that he punched Argentina fly-half Nicolas Sanchez in the 59th minute of Australia's 34-9 Rugby Championship victory at Mendoza.

SANZAR judicial commissioner Nigel Hampton adjourned the case until Thursday.

If found guilty, Hooper could incur a minimum one-match suspension that would force him to miss Australia's next match against the All Blacks in Sydney on August 8.
