Beauden Barrett has been ruled out of New Zealand's third Test against France while Sonny Bill Williams could make his first appearance of the series.

Barrett was forced off after 12 minutes of last Saturday's 26-11 win in Wellington after a mid-air collision with Benjamin Fall.

Fall was red-carded but that has since been rescinded by World Rugby.

Barrett failed a concussion test after the incident and will not be considered for selection along with Vaea Fifita, who also suffered a head knock in the second Test.
