New Zealand retained the Bledisloe Cup in emphatic style with a thumping 41-13 victory over Australia on the day on which Richie McCaw became the most capped Test player of all time.
The All Blacks hit back hard at Eden Park after last week’s 27-19 defeat in Sydney – Dane Coles sprinting 40m to score the only try of the first half.
But the floodgates opened after the break as Ma’a Nonu bagged a brace, Conrad Smith went over and the home side won a penalty try. Dan Carter added 16 points with the boot.
