New Zealand centre Sonny Bill Williams says he is looking forward to playing at Wembley Stadium again.

The All Blacks kick off their World Cup campaign on Sunday at the home of English football.

The defending champions face Argentina in Pool C's opening match and Williams is hoping for a repeat result of the last game he played at Wembley - a 20-18 victory over England in the 2013 Rugby League World Cup semi-final.

"It's an awesome venue," said the 30 year-old, who is a Wellington Phoenix supporter.

"I was fortunate to play in it last year for the Rugby League World Cup. Although it wasn't a great day at the office it was still an awesome experience.

"We play in a lot of awesome stadiums but we're looking forward to Wembley," added Williams' teammate, loose forward Sam Cane.

"We know there's a lot of history there - there are a few soccer fans in the team that have watched a lot big matches being played there.

"It's another great opportunity to experience something that not a lot people get to experience."

Sunday's match is likely to decide which side finishes top of Pool C, with Tonga, Georgia and Namibia expected to contest the group's minor places.
