The Guinness PRO14 fixture between Glasgow and Edinburgh was suspended mid-game due to an evacuation in response to a fire alarm.

There had been 38 minutes of play when there was an announcement informing fans to leave at the nearest exit, with the players and match officials instructed to stand in the middle of the pitch.

Eventually those on the field were asked to leave the stadium too, with a fire alarm in the North Stand the reason for the evacuation.

It is unclear whether it was a false alarm or if the fire had been contained, but everyone was eventually allowed back into the stadium.

The teams agreed that the first half would be capped at 38 minutes, with the second half kicking off after a 30-minute delay with Glasgow 3-0 ahead.
