Full-back Peter Murchie has committed his future to Glasgow by signing a new one-year contract.

The 30-year-old, capped three times by Scotland, has been with the Warriors since 2009 when he made the move north from London Welsh.

Murchie, who has captained the side on occasions this season, recently passed a century of games for the club and is the 11th Glasgow player to sign a new deal.

"I am very happy to be staying at the Warriors. Glasgow has been my home for the past seven years and I love being here," Murchie told the club's website.

"After becoming a centurion this season, I'm looking forward to continuing to represent the club next season.

"I've witnessed huge growth at the club and we're now selling out Scotstoun for the majority of our home games and it's a great place to play rugby."

Coach Gregor Townsend added: "Peter has made a huge contribution to the club over the last seven years, so it's great news that he's staying with us.
