Scarlets' Aled Davies has signed a new deal with the Welsh region until 2018.
The scrum-half took over as first-choice last season when Wales international Gareth Davies was injured.
The 23-year-old has been connected to Scarlets for eight years, coming through the youth ranks to make 72 appearances for the club.
"I'm really pleased to extend my contract with the Scarlets," said Davies.
"I've been a part of the region since the age of 15 and before that was a supporter watching from the stands."
Scarlets head coach Wayne Pivac has been happy with the player's progress and is pleased to secure Davies on a new deal.
Pivac said: "We're delighted to see Aled committing his future to the Scarlets.
"He made great strides last season making the No 9 shirt his own and has continued his form into this season.
"At 23 years old he is still very young and has years ahead of him; to see him continue his development here is great news for the region and for Welsh rugby on the whole."
