The Scarlets are set for a triple swoop ahead of the new season - with Gavin Quinnell, Jonny Faamatuainu and Robin McBryde set to join. Quinnell has spent time at Worcester and Viadana since leaving the Scarlets in 2006 - however the versatile back five forward has been offered a two-year deal to return to his roots, with Scott and Craig, plus father Derek, having all turned out in the famous strip over the years. The 26-year-old, who is likely to be used at lock rather than in the back-row, is set to be joined in the pack at Parc y Scarlets by Faamatuainu, who has become a fans' favourite at Bath in recent seasons. However the Samoan has struggled to hold down a first-team place at the Rec - and could be further pushed out of the picture by the arrival of England captain Lewis Moody. The Scarlets are keen to improve their options in the back row with Dafydd Jones injured and Simon Easterby to concentrate on coaching. Easterby had been looking after the pack last season, however that role is now set to go to McBryde. The former Llanelli skipper will combine the role with his position as Wales forward coach.
