Bristol have continued their recruitment drive ahead of the RFU Championship play-offs with the signing of fly-half Matthew Jones.
The 27-year-old will make the switch from Newport Gwent Dragons after he was released early from his contract at Rodney Parade.
Jones made 33 appearances for the Dragons after joining from Worcester in 2010.
The once capped Wales international had previous spells at the Ospreys, Moseley, Bridgend and London Welsh.
"I'm pleased to be joining Bristol Rugby," said Jones. "The club are enjoying a strong season and there seems to be a fantastic team spirit.
"I'm looking forward to competing in the RFU Championship and challenging for a spot in the first-team."
Dragons director of rugby Robert Beale said "We would like to thank Matthew for his contribution at the Dragons and wish him luck for the rest of the season and the future.
