Dragons face a fight to keep hold of Wales winger

Biarritz are set to hijack the Dragons' attempts to convince Wales winger Aled Brew to remain at Rodney Parade. Brew has scored 40 tries in 98 appearances for the Dragons since making the switch from the Ospreys, initially on loan, in 2006. However Brew's current deal is due to expire at the end of the season - with Perpignan having already been in talks with the 25-year-old. With discussions over a move to Stade Aime Giral stalling, Brew appeared set to stay with the Dragons. Biarritz, though, are now weighing up an approach for Brew, who has been capped eight times - with his last appearance coming against Namibia at the World Cup. With Brew currently out of the international picture - George North, Leigh Halfpenny, Alex Cuthbert and Harry Robinson are all ahead of him in the Wales pecking order - a move abroad could well be hard to turn down. Luke Charteris is also swapping the Dragons for France in the summer, with Lee Byrne, Mike Phillips and James Hook having already made the move to the Top 14.
