Ospreys centre Josh Matavesi cited for tackle against Scarlets

Ospreys centre Josh Matavesi has been cited for an alleged dangerous tackle against Scarlets on Boxing Day.
The 25-year-old Fijian international faces a hearing before an independent PRO12 Rugby disciplinary committee on Wednesday.
Matavesi is accused of "lifting a player from the ground and dropping or driving that player into the ground" in a challenge on Gareth Owen during the Ospreys' 27-26 win.
If found guilty, Matavesi will receive a minimum four-week ban and that would rule him out of the Ospreys' next match against the Dragons at the Liberty Stadium on New Year's Day.
He would also miss the PRO12 trip to Leinster on Friday, January 8 as well as their crucial European Champions Cup game that follows at Clermont Auvergne on Friday, January 15.
