Exeter and the Dragons interested in Wales prop
Exeter and the Dragons are leading the chase for Wales international Craig Mitchell after the prop confirmed he is to quit the Ospreys at the end of the season.
Mitchell has long had to play second fiddle to Lions prop Adam Jones at the Liberty Stadium, however he has shown his potential by forcing his way into the Wales squad.
And Mitchell, who made his international debut against England in the RBS Six Nations, has now opted to leave in a bid secure regular first-team rugby.
"I'm leaving the Ospreys, but I'm not sure where yet because I have one or two options," Mitchell told the
Western Mail.
"It's simply a playing issue. There's nothing wrong with the Ospreys and I have loved my time with them.
"But I want to play first-team rugby and I want to play for Wales. Some recent chances have come my way because of Adam's injuries, but if he wasn't injured, would I be playing?"
The Ospreys appeared resigned to losing Mitchell last week when they announced
the signing of fellow tighthead Aaron Jarvis from Bath.
