Joe Marler was secretly mic'd up at the Lions' training camp in Canterbury - but the bearded forward fooled no one.

The 26-year-old Harlequins prop went rogue to offer a behind-the-scenes look at some of Warren Gatland's squad as they prepare to take on New Zealand, live on Sky Sports this summer.

Ahead of their first game against Provincial Union XV on June 3, live on Sky Sports 1, Marler showed the softer side of the mighty Lions pack as he looked to get some exclusives out of his team-mates.

Quins front-row Kyle Sinckler and Worcester centre Ben Te'o were having none of Marler's antics though.

Greig Laidlaw may have been called up to the squad as a replacement for Ben Youngs, but Marler's undercover shoot did reveal the rugby-playing kids in New Zealand seem to think he is far more similar to Stuart Hogg.
