Former All Black scrum-half agrees switch to French capital
Stade Francais have confirmed the signing of former All Blacks scrum-half Byron Kelleher.
The capture of Kelleher is just one of a number of deals completed by the ailing French giants as they bid to revamp their squad after finishing down in 11th in this year's Top 14 championship.
Kelleher had been without a club since leaving Toulouse at the end of the season and had initially been expected to join Bayonne.
However, he has now accepted a move to Stade and will be joined in the French capital next season by Paul Warwick, Paul Williams and Morgan Turinui.
Australian full-back Warwick joins from Munster, while Samoan international winger Williams heads to France after just one season at Sale Sharks.
Meanwhile, Turinui, a centre with 20 caps for the Wallabies, arrives from Super Rugby outfit Queensland Reds.
It has been a busy time for Stade who also signed England winger Paul Sackey earlier in the week, whilst releasing James Haskell, Arnaud Marchois, Ollie Phillips, Hugo Southwell, Noel Oelschig, Juan Leguizamon and Mauro Bergamasco.
