Steve Mafi one of seven new recruits for Castres

Former Leicester lock Steve Mafi is among seven new recruits signed for next season by Castres.

The 26-year-old Australia-born flanker arrives from Super Rugby team Western Force on a two-year deal with an option for a third having previously spent four years with the Tigers.

Other new recruits handed two-year deals by the Top 14 club are South African centre Robert Ebersohn - signed from Montpellier - Australia-born centre Afusipa Taumoepeau from second division Albi and New Zealand centre Ma'ama Vaipul from Waikato Chiefs.

French props Daniel Kotze (Clermont) and Damien Tussac (Montauban) are also among the new signings along with Tudor Stroe (Tarbes), the latter two on three-year deals.
