Gavin Henson has, as expected, joined Top 14 club Toulon on a two-and-a-half-year deal following his release by Saracens.
Wales international was released by Sarries after just one start
Gavin Henson has, as expected, joined Toulon on an initial five-month deal.
The Wales international was released from his contract with Saracens on Wednesday night having made just one start for the Aviva Premiership club.
Sarries only signed the 29-year-old last October after he had been on unpaid leave from Ospreys for the previous 18 months.
However, he has now decided to continue his rugby career in the Top 14, signing as a 'medical joker' for big-spending Toulon.

The French club were in need of fly-half cover for Clement Marienval, with Jonny Wilkinson currently away on international duty with England and Felipe Contepomi ruled out through injury.
However, it is at centre where director of rugby Philippe Saint-Andre is expected to start off with Henson.
"Philippe was really keen for me to play 12 at Toulon and more or less start playing next week," he said.
"[I'll] also cover 10 when Jonny's not there, and to obviously play alongside Jonny Wilkinson, that is going to be amazing.
"I couldn't really pass on this and obviously the weather is pretty good down here. I think it's going to be great for me and I can't wait to start on Monday with them."
Henson had hoped the move to Sarries would rekindle his international career in time to feature in the World Cup in September.
He made his debut against Wasps on Boxing Day at Wembley but his hopes of a recall to the Wales squad for the RBS Six Nations were dashed when he suffered a calf injury suffered against Leinster in the Heineken Cup.
The player had also voiced his concern at not being given any game time in his preferred positions of fly-half and inside centre.
