Skipper to miss Nottingham game after club ban him for punching

Iain Grieve has been ordered to RFU disciplinary chiefs after being cited for striking Andy Goode in Bristol's Championship play-off defeat to Worcester. Grieve, 24, has been banned by his own club for a week after a punch that left the former England fly-half with a suspected broken nose in the 44-15 home reverse on Sunday. The Bristol captain, who is in breach of Law 10(4)(a), must now answer to RFU disciplinary panel of Antony Davies, David Martin and Jim Sturman on Thursday, March 17. Bristol's decision to ban Grieve regardless of what the panel decide means the back-rower is unavailable for next Sunday's play-off fixture at Nottingham.
