Nottingham have agreed a new season-long deal with former Sale back-row Alex Shaw. The 24-year-old was a key figure in the Nottingham team last season after joining from the Sharks - with Shaw having also played at Coventry, Cornish Priates and Leicester. And director of rugby Glenn Delaney is pleased Shaw has agreed to remain at Meadow Lane. He told the club's official site: "Alex Shaw has signed a contract extension for the next season after a very strong first season where he was ever present in each match day squad throughout the season. "Alex has made a great impression and has an outstanding attitude to training and I look forward to him continuing with us." Meanwhile Nottingham have confirmed Martin Halsall, Stuart Philpott, Ian Kench (Esher), Declan Farrell, Dave Marshall, Steve Hamilton, Cesar Sempere (Northampton), Dan Hemmingway and Andrew Forsyth have all left the club.
