Leeds have suffered a setback after prop Phil Swainston was ruled out of action for four months. Swainston joins a lengthy absentee list at Headingley after he was told he needs surgery on the shoulder injury he suffered in the win over Nottingham. Leeds head coach Diccon Edwards said: "I am bitterly disappointed for Phil as he was beginning to show some good form and had fought his way into the starting line-up. "He will have the operation as soon as possible and the best case scenario is that he will be able to play some part in the latter stages of the season however we will have to monitor him closely." Second row Sean Hohneck is also facing around four weeks out with a knee problem, while Mike MacDonald, Andy Titterrell, Danny Paul, Jon Pendlebury, Scott Barrow, Curtis Wilson, Stevie McColl and Lachlan MacKay are all on the sidelines.
