Doncaster captain pens new two-year deal
Captain Chris Hallam has committed his future to Doncaster Knights by signing a new two-year contract with the South Yorkshire club.
Hallam has spent the past four years with Doncaster and started the majority of the club's matches this season despite strong competition from youngsters Lee Audis and Michael Heaney.
The 28-year-old touched down three times and coach Brett Davey has expressed his delight at the scrum-half's decision to extend his stay at Castle Park.
"I'm really pleased Chris is committing to another two years, it has been a tough year for him as he has been forced to play far too many games, but he has done a brilliant job for us," Davey told the club's
official website.
"He has also been a great captain and led from the front, I can't fault him I'm just delighted he is staying with us full-time - but it is important we find him healthy competition."
