Former France captain Lionel Nallet will join Lyon despite the club's relegation from the Top 14.
The second row veteran has long been linked to a switch to Lyon once his contract with Racing Metro ends in the summer.
And although Lyon have finished bottom of the Top 14 standings after a miserable campaign, the 35-year-old will still make the move - with the view of guiding them back up at the first attempt.
Nallet has signed a two-year deal - and he will team up with close friend Sebastien Chabal.
"I am very happy and proud to be joining Lyon, a team with great potential, and to be back playing again with my friend and team-mate from Racing Metro Sebastien Chabal," Nallet said.
