Fox pens fresh Saints deal

Northampton flanker Darren Fox has extended his stay at Franklin's Gardens.

Northampton flanker Darren Fox has put pen-to-paper on a new contract.

The 24-year-old has extended his stay at Franklin's Gardens for a further two years, and he predicted a bright future for Saints.

"I am really happy to sign for a club that is going in the right direction and means a lot to me. I hope I can make a contribution to its future success," said Fox.

Despite two major operations during his time at the club, Fox has made 82 appearances in the Saints shirt, and director Budge Pountney was equally delighted with the new deal.

"Darren has performed at a consistently good level for this club and has shown great loyalty through his time here, and we are extremely happy that he has signed for another two years at Northampton," said the Saints boss.

"At the age of 24, he has got a lot of very good rugby ahead of him."
