Kohn suffers major blow
Olly Kohn has been ruled out for the season after damaging his knee ligament.
Bristol have been rocked by the news that Olly Kohn will not be seen on the Memorial Ground turf again this season.
Kohn suffered a knee injury during a development match on Monday, and scans revealed that he has damaged his anterior cruciate ligament.
Club physio Paul Tompkins confirmed: "On Monday night in the United game against Plymouth Albion, Olly Kohn ruptured his ACL.
"He'll undergo surgery next Monday but basically he's done for the season and is understandably gutted.
"He'll have to rest for about 6 weeks and then he can start to do some light running.
"After about three months, we'll introduce some twisting and turning and then it's a question of building up the muscle control around the knee.
"We're looking at around six months in total so the season's gone."
Bristol have high hopes for Kohn after the 24-year-old featured in their successful U21 side at the turn of the century.
Two first team appearances this season added momentum to his rise to the top level of the game, but this latest news will be a major setback for the club and player.
